World Café
An important part of the session’s program is the “World Café“, an event in which the delegates discuss external views on the European Union and its role within a globalised world together with 25 experts and young people from in and around Frankfurt. This unique, innovative format will concern economic as well as social and cultural issues.
In several 30-minute round table discussions the participants have the opportunity to discuss a specific aspect of the topic in small groups with an expert in the field.
25 guests from the political, economic and scientific sphere as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations are expected to appear as experts. Topics include for instance globalization, development aid, climate change and transatlantic relations.
With up to 350 participants from diverse backgrounds, representing more than 30 countries, and exchanging their views on a topic that is of key importance for the European agenda, we expect highly interesting discussions to rise.
The World Café will take place on Monday, August 2 from 3 to 6 pm in the Forum of the Messe Frankfurt.
How to participate:
We are looking for students between 16 and 22 years of age who are interested in current social and political issues. We invite you to join the discussion and participate in the World Café. If you are interested, please send an email to worldcafe@frankfurt2010.eu.
